NEED A READER ?

If you need someone to assist with a service of the word or to preach at a Eucharist then call Peter Conabeer the Diocese of Birmingham Readers' Association Engagements Secretary.

If you would like to have a Reader for a longer period then that may also be possible.  In this case please contact John Nightingale, The Warden of Readers.

There are a large number of Readers who would be pleased to take a service in another Parish, with the permission of their incumbent; and many who would be happy to consider a temporary move to another parish. Obviously the Incumbent of the receiving parish needs to to be in agreement, or the Area Dean in an interregnum.   Such a move would in any case normally be initiated by the incumbent of the receiving parish.

When a Reader takes a service out of their normal parish the host is responsible for meeting travel costs only, at the normal Diocesan rate.  During an interregnum this can be charged to the Sequestration account.
